    Presentation by Mesa County Commissioner

  • Rose Pugliese

  • Rose graduated with honors from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a minor in Japanese. She attended St. John’s University School of Law and is admitted to practice law in Colorado, New York, New Jersey and Florida.
Rose is a dedicated member of the community who is committed to transparent, accessible government and is accountable to the people she serves. She is a strong fiscal conservative and believes that the role of a commissioner is to create a well-managed, business friendly county that is a responsible steward of the taxpayer’s dollar.
As a Commissioner, Rose’s tenacity to make Mesa County better resulted in the establishment of innovative economic development programs and policies. Her drive and determination to create a vibrant economy in Mesa County have resulted in her assisting in securing additional daily, direct new flights to markets that are necessary for continued economic success for the community. She has been working with governmental leaders to support the Jordan Cove project, which will help grow the energy sector of her community. Rose is on the front lines of prospect recruitment and expansions, along with our local economic development partners.
In addition to serving as a Mesa County Commissioner, Rose, is an advocate for the community and is involved in many of the organizations that work together to grow the economy in Mesa County. She serves on the following Boards and Committees:
    2017 Governing Advisory Board
    Board of Human Services
    Board of Equalization
Colorado Counties, Inc. (CCI) – past President of the Western District; Chair of the General Government Legislative Committee; Legislative Committee
